Project Overview

Styyer hosted a community football event, bringing together the Apenkwah All-Stars and the Rebecca All-Stars in a structured, competitive and high-energy match day environment. Four teams were formed, alongside a mixed All-Star team that included staff participation. The focus was simple: sport, unity and shared enjoyment. The event created a space for healthy competition, teamwork, and community connections, with a strong turnout from players and spectators alike.

The atmosphere throughout the day was energetic and positive. The players demonstrated teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. Spectators experienced an organised, enjoyable event that brought different groups together.

Following the event, many participants and community members expressed interest in the following:

  • Hosting similar initiatives more regularly

  • Expanding the number of teams involved

  • Exploring structured partnerships

  • Identifying additional community projects that may require support

Beyond the match itself, the event gave Styyer valuable insight into grassroots needs and local priorities, helping us better understand where meaningful support can be directed in the future.
